Car managed to lock itself with the keys inside. But since it's a pseudo emergency, spouse miraculously finds the spare key that was lost years ago. Making a potential $200 locksmith fee into a savings on a $600 dealers fee. Also a nice dinner and gas money, because it's a 3 hour drive.

My tolerance for instrumental music is pretty low. Lots of respect and admiration, but enjoyment is hit and miss. I'm working in a quiet staff space and having triforce quartet on at low impact listening is pretty divine.

I mentioned earlier that this concert was one of my first MAGFest memories.

I'm really glad to have been given the opportunity to come back to MAGFest this year. On a personal level, I can safely say I've had enough. It filled a role in my life and put me in touch with a lot of awesome people. It's an event for other people to enjoy.

Had quite a few conversations in private about mood changes. I have to remind folk that my feelings have never been a colorful spectrum, and it's hard to recognize changes for things in vanishingly small quantities.

For ten years, i had a job where i walked 10-12 hours a day on concrete floors, clocking multiple miles a day. When i started as a manager, my feet bled i walked so much. So MAGFest shouldn't be a big deal. But today is a recovery day.

It's rare that a piece of hotel room art is so captivating. This piece is in one of the staff rooms and has gotten a lot of attention.

I've been to a lot of conventions. I've been to s lot of magfests. This is the loudest con I've ever been to. I'm clearly hearing a concert from my hotel room. It's almost 3am. Some of the room parties were blasting music. I don't hate it, but it's surprising.

This morning I woke up feeling like someone opened a morphine drip in my skull. My wife was snoring gently beside me. Between us, on a stolen pillow, our cat was dreaming. He sleep-pounced my hand. Sometime today, I leave for MAGFest to see a bunch of old friends. Life feels pretty sweet atm.
