Having that moment today after watching just enough of #PracticalA11y that I realise how hard some areas of our site must be to navigate for screen reader users. Learnt a lot about landmarks this week and the best way of using them to signpost content.

Just been refactoring one of our components to use CSS Variables a bit less, in favour of straight up class overrides. I love CSS Variables, but it's always important to weigh up their usage against other alternatives – they can box your styles into a corner too in certain situations.

I've been using deck.blue the last few days – it's essentially a throwback to Tweetdeck/Tweetbot, which makes viewing your feeds/lists a lot nicer. Anyone using any other useful BlueSky apps/tools?
