Free day off work. Not gonna waste it! Went for a solid hike. 7.6 miles, 1600ft of elevation gain. The fun part is it’s 3.8 downhill and then you’re boned because you don’t have a choice but to slog uphill back to your car.

In San Diego for a day and going ti try to pack in a bunch of adventure. Lunch at some marina district. Old coastal/marine infrastructure with modern gentrification is always such a vibe.

Been having a ton of feed issues and it turns out I have a u-grooved feed roller for solid/aluminum wire. I’m using flux core and been creating bird shits the whole time.

This valvoline oil change place next to my house is legit. $140 for 9qt of synthetic, it’s documented on the carfax, they do a bunch of other checks, and I don’t ever have to get out of my car. On some high performance cars I’ll bring in my own oil filter, beyond that it’s great.

Took the day off for no reason, did some trail running/hiking. Got the 135i out to stretch its legs a little, too.

Chicken burgers in a Japanese bbq/hot chili/Worcestershire sauce. Deglazed the pan and cooked the pineapple rings in the glaze. Pepperjack and a lightly toasted bun. 👌

I saw One Battle After Another in theaters and was absolutely blown away. Cannot recommend this movie enough. So imagine my surprise when I was like 10 minutes into watching There Will be Blood and realized it's the same actor. Man I slept on this movie.

Finally found a chandelier for my medieval dungeon. And only $279!

Some 2.5 minute interval sprints and then a nice soak in the steam room. I’m relaxed AF.

Helped a buddy who picked up this super minty Toyota. Its really clean, doesn’t appear to have ever been offroaded, fully original. Even the vacuum lines and brake fluid were original. We did rear drums, wheel cylinders, and brake lines and man did it need it. Even the fluid was chunky.

Pro tip - If you cover your brakes in brake fluid, they won’t rust. Follow me for more questionable automotive tips.
