Adrian has lost patients, a lot of them, during the resistance efforts in Doma and Kugane and the Ruby Sea. It's an unfortunate inevitability, but it happens, and they don't lose sleep over it. There is sadness in knowing that the person didn't make it- but they also have other patients.
