One of the reasons MG is so life-changing and powerful is that this is the age when readers are more likely to be picking their own books for the first time. So they are more likely to find the books that speak to their hearts. #KidLitChat

I agree with this generally - but I’ve seen a fair number of PBs lately, especially NF, that have a level of vocabulary and content complexity that would work beautifully with an upper-elem or low-middle school reader/curriculum! #kidlitchat
