On this day three years ago, PlayStation Productions finalised a promotional video that featured Sir Dan. This was because they were working on a MediEvil film at the time. As of 2025, the film is no longer in production.

Sony ends physical production in 2028. The bomb we hoped they were smart enough to never trigger. Discoverability, dead. Ownership, dead. Legal preservation, dead. Micro publishers, dead. A billion $ market, and they just throw it away.

Did you know? MediEvil's "The Lake" level was initially one of the game's last levels. It was conceptualised as a part of an ancient land underneath Gallowmere that Zarok wanted to plunder. Dan would have had to activate crystals in order to cause the land to implode, thus ending Zarok's plans.

Crazy timing given my announcement earlier today - I have been doing a deep clean/tidy up of my old work studio and found yet more original MediEvil design work! Including - The very first original physical acetate slides (pre-PowerPoint) made to pitch the game to would-be investors. Pre- Sony.

As I start the journey to make a new spooky indie adventure game, I will also be creating a couple of one off pieces of original MediEvil art to sell - drawn in the exact style and materials of the hand drawn design work I did for the original games.
