I’ve been saying for a while that one consequence of AI is that creators will need to build relationships with their audiences to have the credibility and authenticity to thrive. Here it is playing out in real time. I love community interaction, but this is also an ironic reverse Turing test.

I tell my teams to “solve the right problems.” If we are generating presentations with LLMs that are then summarized by LLMs? We are doing it wrong. The HARD work, the IMPORTANT work, is leading with curiosity about what other people need so it’s most satisfying to create docs that have an IMPACT.

I watched a manager try to use Copilot to do a holiday raffle this week live. He gave it a list 100ish members and 50 prizes and said no repeats, and it proceeded to award the same 7 people all prizes. The number of waffling, stonewalling prompts it took to get that done would get a human fired.

Serious game dev question. I am anti gen AI voiceover on principle but text to speech does make sense in scenarios where the quantity of text would cause the game binary to be unwieldy size, especially on mobile or solid state drive devices. Is there really good voice compression tech?
