Ciampa in AEW should be excellent. He was one of my favorite parts of NXT Black and Gold back in the day. I'd be very okay with Ciampa just beating Briscoe immediately for the belt, make him in the company, even if it changes Fletcher's storyline, they can shift him higher up anyway

I normally have my vacation during the Australian Open/January basho and watch them constantly but I went a couple weeks later this year and my brain knows. I'm completely checked out of work, just trying to float through this week and next

Watched Smashing Machine. The Rock as Mark Kerr was really good but Mark Kerr as an actual historical figure in MMA is not really particularly interesting. Like as a fighter he was just a proper fighter in an early era of terrible MMA and then got washed and had the usual issues. Well acted at least

Life is Strange running back to Chloe certainly feels like a cynical attempt to grab fans but maybe it actually follows the last game. Honestly as much as everyone holds LiS1 up all of the other games in the series are better so I'll most likely pick up Reunion

I finished King Sorrow by Joe Hill and that was probably one of the best books I've ever read. Somehow it lined up as available on Libby right at the start of the new year and I could not have started off better I think. I extremely recommend it and I'm 100% sure it'll be a great TV series some day

The Gaming Plan is to play Trails Beyond the Horizon all week. I'm in Act 2, the story is picking up, can't wait to continue. I do want to shout out the Tenshi no Uta collection on Switch though. Two previously untranslated PC Engine RPGs, a little expensive but hey, very cool.

Playing with PS3 emulation and seeing PS4 emulaton has me kinda curious wrt future emulation of current games. How do you emulate games that use vendor specific tech like DLSS? With general power increases slowing down is there actually a point where you can't actually have enough power to emulate?

FINALLY went out to see No Other Choice and yeah, that was fantastic. I LOVED Decision to Leave, Oldboy's a classic, I really need to watch the rest of Park Chan-wook's works

Finished Minishoot Adventures finally, which really shouldn't have taken me so long. Pretty cool game idea though it's I think the bosses end up feeling kind of samey when they all have fairly standard overhead shooter mechanics. Needed maybe another layer or some other gimmicks to spice it up

I'm back to having Gaming Plans for the week, except this plan starts on Thursday with Trails Beyond the Horizon, which I plan to devour. But for now I'm kind of just floating around. Played a bit of Minishoot Adventures, it's fun. Trying not to play anything big with huge rpgs coming up though.

The Crew: Motorfest is a weird game. It looks like Forza Horizon but it feels clunky and difficult to navigate to where events are. It feels like Gran Turismo when it tries to tell me about car history but it feels like it's trying to sell me a BMW and not just inform. Why is it 60fps capped on PC?

A bit of an accountability post but I'm currently 174lbs, up from my usual 165ish (my lowest being 160) and I'd like to keep myself back on the path of not snacking constantly and get back down. Dietary changes need habit and structure, there's no effortless way to do it. So, Path to 165 let's go.
