In FAB I've been trying to play every single hero in CC for the past month. I've been keeping track of my records and how fun the heroes are. So far I'm 7/39 heroes into it. The most fun has been Prism and Dash io.

Amazing thread! The only thing I'd like to add is that you should still make guides even if you're not an acclaimed player or have an impressive result. But just do it for free! What happened to making content and resources for the love of the game.

Compendium is cool but I wish I had more heroes to play around with. I'm excited to know what the next set is.

This discord channel link (which I havent viewed) reminds me of the Arena forums where mods would instruct everyone who had an issue with the shuffler to post in this stickied, 1k+ page thread that existed primarily for people to complain in without infecting the rest of the forum with nonsense.

Hey @fabtcg.com , my favorite hero is Prism and I can't start making any headway on a Sage deck for her because none of her available weapons for the format are herald-focused (or they're Luminaris, Celestial Fury and abysmal). Please help me out. 🤲

Commander color identity strictness (including hybrid) is the absolute fakest thing about the format. Heaven forbid I play Ignoble Hierarch or Kitchen Finks in a g/b deck!

2025 what a year

I see folks who want Magic IP supported and given breathing space. Lorwyn Eclipsed stories start Monday, then Tuesday WeeklyMTG is showing Marvel Super Heroes previews. Now, I don't expect story to be sole community focus for a full week. But can you try NOT stomping out your own story with UB?

It's wild to me that FAB printed a truly excellent limited environment in High Seas, then went back to printing a extremely mediocre and uninspiring limited set in Super Slam.

I'll probably get suckered back into playing Richmond in March but this is how I feel about standard generally. You either play the expensive wrong cards that won't get banned or the expensive good cards that are definitely getting banned in 3 months.

Generally positive on BNR changes, but to be honest I still do not feel like Standard is welcoming and probably won't try to get back into it. (This is largely due to amount of set releases)

If the ban list update isn't good today, I'm blaming the Democrats.

Watching the slow erosion of competitve Magic in my area in real time: The majority of our RCQs now won't have judge support next season (stores can't afford it), and weekly 60-card events are getting replaced by games like Riftbound. I think @magic.wizards.com analytics HAVE to be flawed.

Local FAB armories have been popping off lately. 18-30 people per week since June; really great numbers.

Cubecon, as always, was the best event of the year.

Gizmo cube. Drafted ug energy and lost AGAIN in the trophy match. 2-1. Energy was neat but greens identity really was just Naturalize.

2-1 heartbreaking trophy loss but an extremely cool Izzet "Radiance" deck. Probably my favorite vibe here so far - Omnipresent Imposter cube.

Drafted the Odyssey Remastered cube, ended up with a 2-1. 🙂

Albert Brennaman's Innistrad Expanded Cube has the extra rule that each player starts with a Cogwork Librarian. ...that is wearing a *different hat.*

A little MTG timeline. May 2024: Extremely happy with standard, can't get enough of the format. January 2025: Hesitant about Standard and attending the first Spotlight Series. October 2025: I don't think I'll ever buy into Standard again.

I've been very much enjoying FAB recently. Especially with the new tournament packs having a shot at a fancy version of my favorite hero
