There is currently one person waiting for the Eurovision 2025 Grand Final live stream to start… I hope they’re comfortable.

I’ve shown the songs to 3 non-fans so far, and all 3 of them laughed (very hard) at the same song…one you aren’t supposed to laugh at. I’ll give you a clue: the dancing.

This is going to be tarnishing the message of United By Music which would be fine if it was ironic about 2024. But the phrase comes from the BBC’s collab with UA:PBC and I’ll forever be livid that the meaning got warped by repeating the slogan in a complex year.

Btw I’m saying this as someone who is dreading their own country’s song release soon. I’m under no illusions that I won’t like it cos the genre is far from my cup of tea. You don’t have to like everything, and not every song has to be liked by everyone. Don’t be stupid about it.

Laika Party deserved to go to Eurovision as it was an emphatic win, it’s what (almost) every form of voting wanted. It’s what needed to go. But I won’t sit here at tell you it isn’t the most childish song sent to ESC in a long time. It’s on par with the idea of ‘My AI’ winning MGP last year for me.

So, UK entry reveal, next week on the Apprentice, both teams have to write a 3 minute song, the winning team gets their song to Basel, the person who’s fired has to go there to perform it as a punishment.

The BBC looked at all the withdrawals and decided they couldn’t be arsed to go to Basel.

I’ve loved SOPHIE’s music for a long time and I had NO idea she was from the same town as me?!

So #Eurovision will have nothing at all for disabled people who are not physically in a wheelchair at all times. Nothing for visually/audio impaired people, nothing for neurodivergent people, nothing for anyone with other needs Can’t state enough this would be incredibly illegal in The UK.
