Landing at Wolf's Fang, a staging camp on the Antarctic continent 🇦🇶 The team are on the way to Halley Research Station on the Brunt Ice Shelf. They were meant to get to Halley today, but weather on the rest of their route is causing delays. Not a bad view to wait with though, eh?

Of course the highlight of the MIST meeting, beyond visiting my old undergraduate haunts, was seeing the majority BAS Space weather team winning the MIST football competition.

Followed the MIST meeting with a visit to the National Space Centre. Very enjoyable.

On my way to London to enjoy some talks on space weather science from the L5 Lagrangian point at the @royalastrosoc.bsky.social. I know I am a bit later than the usual rush hour crowd, but the station car park was very empty. Friday is clearly still a WFH day for many commuters in my region.

Oh and while we are at it, can headline/clickbait writers please stop saying that "'so-and-so' has broken their silence". It is overly dramatic, and makes you sound like a pr*ck
