Amazing, I'm so honored to be included in this long list for my book!!

I did it!! I am now Dr. Poetry! From being homeless in Florida, to a borough in New Jersey, to dropping out of high school, to surviving domestic violence and being a single mom in academia. I did it. Thank you to all the people who supported me and believed in me. I love you! I am Dr. Smith!

I can't handle reading AI papers anymore. Does anyone else have to read hundreds of thousands of words of AI besides composition instructors? I feel like it's impacting me negatively. Someone needs to study the impact of reading AI slop in such sustained ways.

I often feel like everyone is better than me at stuff. Like teaching. Or writing. Where are the cracks? The fragments? The flattened defeat. Gnawing annoyance. Why's everyone always so competent? Is it a ruse? Reality? Am I the only one struggling?

Everyone says, don't get on the adjunct treadmill. But they don't tell you how to make it without getting on it. And they certainly don't tell you how to get off the damn thing once it's going.
