Did a mini quilt-a-long a couple weeks ago. I’m starting to get an itch to spin again but for now quilting helps me miss my grandmother a little less. I can’t imagine what she’d think of the world today. She was lucky to graduate college as a librarian when most women didn’t get the opportunity.

The world has been too much and I’ve needed time to refresh so I can return strong. Quilting has cleared my head and given me space to support those around me. Needing time doesn’t mean we’ve given up or stopped speaking it means we are preparing for the next battle.

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously. Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

It’s important to know your limit so you can rest and get back out to do more. I try to find ways to stop my brain from ruminating on what’s happening in the world so I can walk away refreshed and ready to go. Learning new skills occupies brain cells. Today it was cutting fabric for a quilt.
