Universal health care? “Too expensive.” Child care? “Unrealistic.” Free buses? “No handouts.” High speed rail? “Not doable.” Student debt relief? “Irresponsible.” Rent freezes? “Communism.” Unconstitutional military action abroad followed by indefinite occupation? Funded immediately.

Organizing is not posting. Organizing is relationship-building, repetition, and trust over time. Social media can amplify organizing, but it can’t replace it. Confusing attention for power is one of the biggest strategic mistakes I see.

New year, same truth: Politics doesn’t change because we want it to. It changes when people organize, tell better stories, and build power over time. That’s the work. Everything else is noise.

For anyone who needs to hear it: if the economy is “strong” but families can’t afford rent, childcare, or healthcare, then the problem isn’t public perception. It’s public policy.
