Today, a federal court stopped the Trump-Vance admin’s attempted takeover of the Library of Congress. We are proud to represent Shira Perlmutter in defending the integrity of our democratic institutions.

On behalf of former civil servants, we’re suing the Office of Special Counsel and the Acting Special Counsel for abandoning their statutory duty to protect the federal workforce. The OSC was created to shield federal workers from retaliation and political interference. It must do that job.

The information released confirms what we’ve long suspected: the Trump-Vance administration did nothing to meaningfully ensure that individuals disappeared to the CECOT prison were protected from torture, indefinite confinement, or other abuses.

President Trump’s use of the military in Los Angeles for law enforcement activities is illegal – that’s why Governor Newsom is suing. On behalf of @interfaithalliance.org, we filed an amicus brief in Newsom v. Trump, urging the court to uphold the order stopping the National Guard deployment in CA.

BIG WIN: A federal court restricts the IRS from continuing to share massive amounts of taxpayer data with ICE. This is a victory for taxpayers’ privacy.

UPDATE: We secured the release of a previously secret financial arrangement between the Trump-Vance admin and El Salvador to disappear people from U.S. territory to the CECOT prison. This document shows the admin is not just ignoring due process, it also did nothing to protect people from torture.
