Feels like ranked choice was absolutely decisive in this race—not because of the vote count, but because of how it changed the incentives from zero-sum to cooperapetitive. The response to Zohran Mamdani's campaign reminds me of the stories I've heard from ambitious, optimistic Millennials (esp.
