11th book this year, Magellan’s circumnavigation of the globe. Departing in 1519 with 5 ships & 260 men, returning 3 years later, 1 ship & 18 men. An incredible story! It was 1577 to 1580 before Drake repeated the journey.

A beautiful moon in a clear blue sky today. The Tycho crater is easy to see with binoculars. 108 million years old. The rays from it are ejected material from the impact. Discovered by Tycho Brahe late 1500s.
