The bulky, green sidewalk scaffolding that wraps around many buildings in New York City is as familiar a sight as rush-hour traffic — and just as reviled. But on Tuesday, city officials unveiled six designs that reimagine the structures. nyti.ms/3XxvNLU

⚠️NYC Severe #WeatherAdvisory ⚠️ The NYC metropolitan area is expecting severe weather, including heavy rain and wind gusts of up to 50 mph, starting Thursday and continuing Friday. We're reminding all builders, contractors, crane operators, and property owners secure their sites and equipment!

DOB inspectors have been instructed not to issue violations if the construction tastes delicious enough. All penalties are being waived for unpermitted gingerbread construction through Dec 31.
