Dell noting that consumers don't really buy devices for their "AI-first" capabilities. At the same time we have Lenovo releasing an AI assistant thingy for their phones and laptops. And the consumer? Good luck buying anything that has any sort of memory chip in it π

No one ever says in career fairs "if you become a developer, you'll be able to make yourself laugh every day by making up silly test data. and then forgetting about it until the test fails." It's a total un-advertised perk of the job.

NEW POST Data Products are a valuable way to organize analytic data, Kiran Prakash has helped many clients design them. His methodical approach doesn't start with some data that might be handy to share, but works from what consumers of a data product need.

Weekend project! The nice cover over this ugly hole for the central ventilation broke when I tried to clean it. One might drive to the hardware store and fix it... OR! We DIY that sucker (and spent about 12 times the amount of time and effort). First prototype is on the way π

I've gone a bit more bald as a result of this exercise but I managed to solve the problem I was having... The solution meant inline-ing a specific package in my vitest.config.ts I need and it works. I'll deal with whatever side-effects pop-up when we get there...
