You might not have caught what just happened on the Senate floor, but the Senate just “deemed as passed” the Epstein resolution. That means as soon as it arrives from the House, it automatically passes the Senate (with no amendments) and heads to the President’s desk. Wow.

"Traditional health insurance" pre-ACA didn't cover pre-ex, had annual/lifetime caps, didn't cover important things like having a baby, led to many declaring bankruptcy when they got sick. Even then, ~50M had no insurance at all because they still couldn't afford it. They clogged ERs to get care.

Health insurance is a fucking racket. We don’t get to choose who we want for an insurance company. That’s tied to your employer. Well my employer decided to change the company we are using yet again. I get to pay more and get less coverage. We need Medicare for all. This is bullshit

Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024. This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500. And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?

I’m voting no on the continuing resolution that would double healthcare premiums for 20 million Americans, kick 15 million people off Medicaid & allow 50,000 Americans to die unnecessarily every year. All to give $1 trillion in tax breaks for billionaires.

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable. We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina. A vote for this bill is a mistake.

Without ACA I would not be able to get coverage. Affordable or not. I’d just be excluded. And since virtually everyone has some kind of pre-existing condition we’d all be screwed.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.
