“Self-deport” is a whitewashed way to describe “fleeing the country under the threat of state violence.” I agree with Maria here — it’s important to call that exactly what it is.

If the GOP wants to protect kids, the irreversible mutilation happening to kids is from the bullets shot into their bodies while they’re at school. Ending the gun violence epidemic will save lives. Using the government to bully trans kids does nothing but hurt more people.

Instead of protecting healthcare premiums from doubling for 22M Americans, the US House passed an extreme anti-trans bill that threatens 10 years of prison on parents and doctors for providing lifesaving, best practice care for .002% of all children in the US. The fight against cruelty isn’t over.

said it best: “For LGBTQ+ advocates, the result offers more than symbolic vindication. It is a data point they argue cannot be ignored: in a district that once favored Trump by double digits, equality messaging did not just survive — it won.”

Georgia Republicans are using their last moments of power in the Public Service Commission to give massive clearance for data centers and higher energy bills. Guess whose dad wants to build 11 MILLION square feet of data centers in Middle Georgia? Burt Jones, who wants to be our Governor.

Republicans have shut down the federal government for nearly a month, decimated public health funding, suing to permanently undo the Voting Rights Act, advocating to bring back conversation therapy and are still using ICE as a paramilitary to snatch people from their homes and off the the sidewalks.

A lot of y'all didn't decry "political violence" when Tortuguita was shot 14 times in cold blood by state troopers, but have a lot to say about someone whose assailant remains at large with an unknown motive. Why is it complicated when the victim is brown? Why is it so easy then the victim is white?

John Oliver doesn’t get enough credit for having a show with a strong viewpoint who will oftentimes devote 20-25 minutes to a topic, sometimes one that you can’t hear about on American television anywhere else, and manage to be pretty consistently funny while doing it. It’s a hell of a balancing act

The GOP death cult is a morally bankrupt party decaying the fabric of America with their spiritual rot. They steal from the sick, disabled, pregnant, young and working poor to line the pockets of the wealthy, build concentration camps and fund genocides.

All this activism against cop cities, carceral punishment, police brutality sure would’ve restricted the extent of police power but y’all ignored them and called them “naïve” and “unrealistic” and “far-left”. Supporting that activism would’ve been useful for these times of incarceration of innocents
