I thought at first that OpenAI was breaking its promise of objectivity. Then I realized it’s just redefining how objectivity functions — something that’s happened over and over. (Gift link!)

for something to be considered creative, it has to be semantically/pragmatically felicitous!!!

AI medical scribes MUST include consent, extreme privacy guardrails, and realistic evaluations — none of which are really true for the systems currently (and extensively!) in use. Otherwise this is just another step in a long parade of clinicians, researchers, and medical systems abusing patients.

In the light of bullshit about AI being creative I got 10/10 in the poetry turing test. I am yet again telling you that please evaluate your AI outputs by human who have expertise. Not to say the AI poetries were so bad I wanna smash my head on the wall

ICLR should not allow public discussion until after decisions. It allows Oscars-style award/accept campaigns by high-profile allies. Even for great papers, that can’t be part of the review process. The only reason it didn’t happen before is because it was against community norms, which are changing.
