Stardate: 03.12.two-zero.2.5: Impulse engines dropped us off in the B-o-S system for a very confiding Kentish Plover then on 'breaking news' a Warp 9 flash down to 'The Exe' (piloted by Commander Nige 'Whiskers' Warren in the shuttle Mazda 3) for a resolved Lesser Crested Tern! Top twitching! 😎

Rounded off an excellent week with a Sabine’s gull from Severn Beach, pushed up the channel on squally weather. Also, 8+ Manx, comic and black tern, and spoonbill all on the river.

September 1st: A super Buff-breasted Sandpiper at CVLake, Somerset today was a very welcome start to the autumn passage. It was performing nicely on and off on Nunnery Point despite the, sometimes, torrential rain. Here's one from a past encounter!
