A5 1/2: I think people have this perception that have to have a singular tight marketing focus, or that there’s no focus. And sure, reaching one target group of people can be easier, but it’s not the only way to do things. #ACESChat

This is a great point, Jennifer. Once a client knows you and knows that you do good work, they are loath to have to find another copyeditor if you can do what they need. So much of this business is about building relationships with your clients. #ACESChat

A3. Getting to work on a wide variety of topics, for a wide variety of clients, in a wide variety of formats is the best part of being a freelance editor. It helps prevent burnout, provides a more stable income, and keeps me excited to get down to work every day. #ACESchat

You know what would be cool? An app/website that tracks, in real time, your elected officials' actions—not just their votes on legislation but their public statements, calls for action, and committee discussions.

Has anyone compiled a list of apps with (1) newly embedded AI tools and (2) ways to disable those tools? I'm thinking especially of the apps that are introducing "helpful" offers to summarize content or provide tips—basically, the new versions of the much-hated Microsoft Clippy.
