This is beyond politics, but unsurprisingly coming from the right. Trans people.... ARE PEOPLE. They aren't subjects, curiosities, or threats on that basis alone. And If PEOPLE threaten 'em, in time, it can include you. Include any of us. Regardless of the PERSON you are, they will find a reason.
