The queer cafe near me does art exhibitions on its walls by local/queer artists based on themes and changes then every few months. It's with deep sadness that they have now changed to a new exhibition, meaning they've taken down all the artwork from the previous theme: Sonic the Hedgehog.

Stand up comedy slots tend to work in fives/ten/twenties/full hour. Obviously some flexibility but it's a good general rule. Improv slots seem to be twenty five minutes for no discernable reason.

I really loved Pauline's show up in Edinburgh this year, she's just so funny and so engaging that even someone like me with no knowledge of tennis could have a great time. Honestly tempted to go again when it tours.

I'm not counting it in my comedy list because it's my made up rules but went to an evening of poetry by Robin Ince tonight and it was delightful. Finished off with Let Me Celebrate You Now, which is probably my favourite of his.

Might be a no brainer, but this goes especially for folks in lead positions. If you never mention the stuff that's good and only focus on pointing out the bad when giving feedback and otherwise, that'll kill the motivation and spirit of your team real quick.
