My main autistic special interest is comedy, both watching/performing it, but also studying and analysing it. It's an endlessly complex and fascinating subject, so I absolutely love this new podcast by @lauralexx.bsky.social and @oliverdouble.bsky.social delving into its history and theories.

I like my autism. There are bits I don't like, I wish I could eat a bigger variety of foods, and I wish I didn't feel hyper aware of all the social rules I don't understand or miss, but I love the way my brain has a constant hum, and the excessive joy I get from seemingly minor things in life.

Did a gig tonight in a room that multiple of people told me is a really difficult one to play and it actually went really well for me. So of course, I am grumpy because I missed out one of my favourite jokes.
