I was working with a group of teachers from multiple schools last week: HALF of them are required to use Verbal Feedback stamps or write VF in books when supporting pupils in class. Is this the norm?! Seems like this message from the EEF feedback report is still not impacting on school policies…

This morning we welcomed leaders from across the region to our first evidence briefing of the academic year… …and this afternoon we worked with leaders from Wigan schools on exploring the findings from the new EEF implementation guidance report. Thanks to everyone who came.

Today we launched our EEF pilot, ‘Thinking Mathematically’, to over 50 teachers from across the North West at Bolton Stadium. Tomorrow the roadshow hits York, and we’re in Kendal later in the week. Super excited to work with all of the schools who’ve signed up!

This looks like interesting and important work. Building a culture of community and belonging for children in our schools is vital, especially for more vulnerable pupils.
