I spend such a large chunk of my day thinking about dead people. I don't want to stop doing that. It feels important in some way. Maybe just that they were stolen from us too soon, so I don't want them stolen from my mind, too. It hurts, but it's a good hurt I wouldn't get rid of. Grief is love.

Sharp objects. Sharp objects and a love that'll drive you to check on your neighbors, that will make you feed, house, and protect others. These are the things we need. Ignoring it all won't help. If you can't fix everything, try to fix something. You aren't as weak as you think.

Fun fact: You almost never need to mention disability (or slang/slurs associated with disability) nor age to say "this person should not be in office". There are always plenty of non-age, non-disability reasons, for literally every example of this I've seen in the last few days here.

One thing that's been frustrating me INTENSELY this last few years is a pattern of brilliant Autistic autism researchers, doing important & fascinating work, struggling to get jobs in academia, or being pushed out of jobs they had before. Most universities seem unable to see how valuable they are.

If an autistic kid hits someone during a meltdown they are not being violent just because their brain is responding to a situation as if the kid's life is in danger. I would be shocked if any given allistic adult could go through that for the first time and actually control their body.

People do things that contradict their values every day for the sake of both necessity and convenience. Wish people would see the contradiction- It's not about wanting them to feel bad. I want them to seriously consider what they can do to bring those values more in alignment with their actions.

Facts. People, please stop ignoring mutual aid asks and at the bare minimum, repost all the ones you see, and reply/comment, quote, add a picture, etc to beat the algorithm so we’re seen. It matters, now more than ever.
