I wasn't expecting this, but Dan Da Dan has made me care about Okarun and Ayase as a romantic pairing. I was kinda rolling my eyes at the first hints it was going that direction in season 1, but then last night I was breathlessly watching the scene where Ayase tries to hold Okarun's hand. Cute :3

I'm pretty annoyed because I've had issues with my monitor being a bit red-tinted, which messed with me while making art. Turns out the panel was just set to warm and now it looks pretty accurate in sRGB mode. I thought they just did a shitty job calibrating it.

It's wrong to say that I don't really get special interests now, but it's rare that my interest is on a specific media franchise for longer than a month now. It's more just the general tech and videogame sphere. I wonder if this is a result of having more money to spend than when I was a kid.

I'm glad that we're getting new computers at work soon, because my computer is lowkey getting slower in real time. Like I wonder how much longer it will last if I just keep using it. It's been turned on for 15 minutes and is still being very laggy.

It's really funny being someone who absolutely loves videogames but winces at being called a "gamer." I've begun associating that word with gross cheeto mountain dew stains at best, and the entitlement of white men who get mad whenever they perceive themselves losing ground to minorities at worst.

Probably my greatest guilty pleasure is anime openings. I don't have any shame about enjoying anime, and it's really much more common and accepted to like anime now than when I was younger, but specifically anime openings are so god damn good and I feel embarrassed anytime I let someone in on that 😭

I fucking love when games have nice and beefy demos. It's so awesome being able to play a few hours of a game before deciding if you want the rest of it or not. Demos aren't realistic to demand from every release, but I do think way more games should have demos, especially if it's like $30 or more.

I've been having fun playing Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter today. I played like 3 hours of the demo and was sold enough that I bought the full game. I started from the beginning so I can capture footage to maybe use in a review down the line.

I finally got around to starting Dan Da Dan Season 2 and wow I forgot how damn good the animation in that show is. So fucking good.

Ocarina of Time running at 20FPS and still being one of the best games of all time is one of my favorite examples to point at anytime mfs call games unplayable. If a game came out now at 20FPS, mfs would be talking about it for YEARS even if the visuals and gameplay justified the framerate.

Recently I find it quite fun to play Gran Turismo 7 in singleplayer and race like a complete psychopath. Just try to kill everyone I pass lmao.

Metal Gear Solid 2 was so impressive for its time. The jump from MGS to MGS2 is crazy. MGS2 honestly looks good even by PS3 standards, as proven by the fact that there's an HD PS3 version that looks great.
