Been working on a series of self-portraits lately. Slowing down, observing properly, and drawing without hiding behind style. It’s been grounding — and useful for the larger Fractures work.

40 years ago today we first opened our doors, at our inaugural site on Great Russell Street, opposite the British Museum. Originally dealing predominantly in back-issues, we’ve grown to host all aspects of the culture of comics, weathered the tumult of the industry and settled in to 1 Berwick St.

Picked up The Sussex Lancers: Tailor-Made Leather Lovers by @alfleflo via colossive.com Really enjoyed learning more about UK leather history — the names, the fashion, and the organisations that helped shape queer Britain. Important, stylish, and deeply rooted in culture.
