Just so everyone that's moving away from SAMMI knows; Streamerbot allows the same AI slop in their plugins that SAMMI now allows so if that was your sole reason for dropping SAMMI, don't expect sanctuary over there

Saying what i said on stream here as well: If there is any good for me to glean from today, it's that the SAMMI community is incredibly strong, and very supportive of true, authentic creators. And that fills my heart with hope. Pay your artists and devs. Pick up a pencil or textbook and create.

Very sympathetic to my friends whose streams benefit from or depend on SAMMI, but the timeline of their dork founder coming back saying "I'm going to save this doomed project... with AI!" only for the entire dev team to quit and everybody dropping it is, separate from everything, extremely funny.

If you use or were considering using SAMMI, switch to a different program. The new sole developer is extremely pro-AI, has already started using it in the code, and is in support of its use for genAI images as well. Everyone who protested this was told to leave the server and stop using SAMMI.

the creator of SAMMI supports the use of AI and AI art. I will be removing SAMMI from my streams.

Recently several SAMMI devs quit the program and it was taken over by one particular developer that is very much pro AI. He has a history of AI use and has recently changed policies relating to AI in the program development space.

Anyone using SAMMI may want to reconsider. The new lead Dev silently changed the policy to allow AI art to be used in official spaces again and when called out upon, told users to stop using SAMMI if they weren't happy about it.
