In the OC, I proudly represent 5 Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISI). I joined a resolution recognizing this week as AANAPISI Week. I’ll keep working to protect our colleges and make sure they have the resources needed to allow students to thrive.

Republicans control all three branches of government. If they wanted to keep the government open, they would.  They are trying to use this as an opportunity to illegally fire thousands of federal workers and steal vital services from Americans.  This is entirely on them.

@oversightdemocrats.house.gov managed to release over 8K new pages of the Epstein files. Named in the documents were Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Steve Bannon, and Prince Andrew.  We won’t stop until we identify everyone involved in Epstein's horrific abuse and hold them accountable. Release the files!

Donald Trump has weaponized the DOJ to attack his political enemies. The baseless and likely illegal indictment of James Comey (and likely John Bolton) aren’t about upholding the rule of law, but to enact political revenge.

When Trump slashed funding for service programs, these young volunteers in OC did not stop giving back. I was honored to step in and celebrate the NCL, Pacific Coast Chapter for their 10,000+ hours volunteered last year. Their dedication to serving our community is real and inspiring.

The GOP backed a doomed budget and then fled DC. Then, Trump threw a tantrum and blew up bipartisan talks. Democrats are returning 9/29 to keep the government open and lower costs. If the government shuts down, Republicans have no one to blame but themselves.

In 2009, the EPA found that greenhouse gasses endanger public health, and put in place measures to protect the environment. Now, Trump’s rolling back these protections, making us less safe, and devastating the environment. @houseseec.bsky.social and I are demanding he restore these protections.

Congratulations to UCI for winning the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition! It was great to meet these students in my DC office and hear more about their passion for defense, cybersecurity, and public service.

Unlike RFK, I believe in science. His baseless statements about Tylenol and vaccines are undermining our nation’s public health. Shameful.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who came out this weekend to participate in Coastal Cleanup day! I'm lucky to represent some of the most beautiful coastline in America. It's up to us to protect our coasts and keep them pristine.

Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan was caught accepting $50,000 in bribes. Instead of prosecuting him, the Trump administration shut down the investigation.  No one is above the law. I’m demanding the IRS investigate these illegal bribes and restore transparency to our government.

As I stated to House Oversight Chair James Comer, we can conduct oversight while ALSO demanding immediate transparency. I urge my GOP colleagues to sign the discharge petition to release the Epstein Files immediately. This is NOT a hoax and the thousands of survivors deserve justice.

The National Guard are under clear orders to not assist with law enforcement in DC. And while I'm glad they, unlike Trump, are following the law, this also means Trump’s illegal deployment of troops is a massive waste of taxpayer funds, and so disrespectful to the troops.

The President, in a now deleted post, made clear his intent to have his DOJ prosecute his critics, just days after his FCC Chair illegally abused his authority to try to get Jimmy Kimmel fired. Trump and his cronies are trying to dismantle our democracy. We must stand up and fight back.

As I noted last week in House Oversight Committee, Donald Trump’s actions in his second term are straight out of the authoritarian playbook These attacks on our democracy and the rule of law must not be allowed to stand. We the people need to stand up to protect and defend our Republic.

Whether it’s Kimmel, Colbert, or universities across the nation, the Trump admin is using the full power of the federal government to eliminate dissent and block free speech.   I built my career upholding the rule of law. These attacks on our constitutionally protected rights are unacceptable.

I proudly voted against Republicans’ abomination of a budget that will strip health care from millions of Americans. They want to take away health care from the most vulnerable among us all while raising costs on hardworking families. I’ll keep fighting to protect the OC from this lawlessness.

As a member of the Oversight Committee, I just questioned Alex Acosta, the US Attorney who negotiated Epstein’s sweetheart plea deal. His answers were evasive and non-credible. What is clear is that there is A LOT they are hiding. I won’t stop until the full Epstein files are released.

Trump's tariffs are taxes. Anyone telling you otherwise is gaslighting you. There's no national emergency other than the economic crisis Donald Trump's poorly thought out policies created for us. I was proud to stand with @capac.house.gov to demand an end to the turmoil.

🚨LEGISLATIVE UPDATE🚨 My Bipartisan Digital Coast Reauthorization Act just passed unanimously out of the Natural Resources Committee! This bill funds a vital program that provides critical data to protect and sustain our coastlines. I’m proud to have worked across the aisle to make this happen.

We’re one vote away from moving the Massie-Khanna Epstein investigation forward.   Failing to act is a betrayal of our constitutional duty and of the survivors we just heard from.   The American people deserve answers. We must release the Epstein files.

In the past month, ☕ Coffee prices are up 3.6% 🍌 Banana prices are up 2.1% 🥩 Beef prices are up 6% 🍅 Tomato prices are up 7% Trump’s tariffs = taxes on American families. I’ll keep working to lower costs and make life more affordable for Orange County.

Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill delivers the deepest Medicaid cuts in history, forcing hospital closures and putting care out of reach for millions. These disastrous policies will hurt Californians. That is why I’ll continue to fight to protect Medicaid and lower health care costs for every family.

A court just upheld Congressional Republicans’ efforts to defund Planned Parenthood. This will devastate women, preventing them from receiving the lifesaving reproductive care they need. I’ll keep fighting to restore this vital health care.

Young women and girls around the world are watching closely to see what we in Congress will do. I won’t stop fighting until everyone in the Epstein files—regardless of how rich and powerful they are—is held accountable. Release ALL of the Epstein Files NOW.

The latest economic data once again makes clear Trump’s tariffs are leading to runaway inflation. He can blame “false reporting” or fire more economists but working families know the painful truth—we are paying much more at the checkout line than before Trump took office.

24 years ago, nearly 3,000 lives were lost on 9/11. Today, we honor the innocent, the brave first responders, and the families forever changed.

This shooting is horrifying. Political violence is unacceptable and we must ensure this does not continue. Yet this is the latest reminder no one and nowhere in America is safe from gun violence. We must do better. Praying for Charlie Kirk and his loved ones.

This “Birthday Book” is part of a larger pattern of lying, of lawlessness, and coverups by the Trump admin that goes all the way to the top.  Right now, Trump is acting like there’s one set of rules for him, and another for the rest of us. I’ll keep fighting to demand justice for the survivors.

Trump and his cronies are lying about his birthday letter, and this is a cover up that goes all the way to the top. Nobody planted this — it came from the Epstein estate under subpoena. The truth needs to come out. Release the files now.

Workers are the backbone of Orange County. Thank you to the OC Labor Federation for inviting me speak at their annual picnic. I’ll keep fighting for worker’s rights, fair wages, and safe workplaces for everyone in the OC.

In a shameful and un-American decision, the Supreme Court just wrongly ruled ICE can detain people based on race or ethnicity. This goes against the clear language of our Constitution and everything we stand for. I’ll continue to fight for our immigrant communities.

The outrageous ICE raid on a Korean manufacturing plant in GA is yet another example of the lawlessness and disregard for human rights and basic decency that comes out of the Trump admin. This will have a huge chilling effect on foreign companies doing business with the US, and hurt our economy.

Hundreds of workers, including multiple lawful residents, were detained at a manufacturing site this morning. The Trump admin’s indiscriminate, and seemingly racially motivated, targeting of immigrants sows fear in our communities, increases xenophobia, and hurts our economy. This is unacceptable.

For the first time in four years, the economy lost jobs, with the unemployment rate rising to 4.3%. Donald Trump’s tariffs and complete mismanagement of the economy is making life harder for working Americans.

Members of Congress have access to inside information—we shouldn’t be able to trade stocks on it. It’s common sense.  I was proud to join a bipartisan group of lawmakers calling to ban congressional stock trading. There can’t be one set of rules for Congress and another for the American people.

I met with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse, hearing their stories and pleas for accountability.   Right now, young women across the country are watching to see if America stands with survivors and stands up to the rich and powerful.  These women deserve justice. Release the files immediately.

@noaa.gov’s Digital Coast Program is a hallmark example of federal and local partnership—supporting coastal communities while creating jobs & boosting our economy. My Digital Coast Reauthorization Act continues this program, helping our communities plan for the future & build coastal resiliency.

I signed onto this discharge petition because the rich and powerful need to be held accountable. We owe the survivors, and the American people, the truth.

H.Res. 668 is a distraction filled with poison pills that does nothing to support the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein.   The survivors deserve justice, not more obstructions. I’ll keep working to deliver real accountability.
