There’s times I wish the concepts from the movie, “Brainstorm,” was a reality, so these researchers could understand EXACTLY how autism affects us. They would freak out in a minute over what goes on in our heads, and further research would be reoriented to actually include our input.

This one chose climate change and fascism. They just chose it at a slower pace.

Please pay attention to this, especially if you have children. Had I known growing up my brain and body worked differently from those considered my peers, things would have been considerably easier. Granted, I still would have struggled, but probably not as much as I had to.

My ASD diagnosis was one of the most beneficial things to occur to me in my lifetime. However, I still face a lot of harassment and discrimination because of my neurotype. I’m now comfortable with my own brain, but it’s going to be looooooooong after I’m off this planet before things change for us.

On December 20, 2024, @faetooth.bsky.social performed their final show of 2024 at the Echo in Los Angeles and played new material from their upcoming album. Their first long player was super heavy. Based on what I’ve heard of the new songs, the next album will be even heavier.

@propublica.org needs to do a better job of their reporting. They CLAIM they want to hear from us, but when autistics complained about the article in question and requested retraction or edits, our missives were ignored.

All of this is how it felt to finally be diagnosed in my 50’s.

I guess I listen to Yob a bit. A significant part of this probably due to being autistic.

I’m pretty sure I’ve already done this. It didn’t go over well. 🤣 My attitude about their response can be taken from a line in Scorsese’s, “Goodfellas”: “I don’t know what’s wrong with you. We gotta toughen this kid up.”

Had I not been able to get my own autism assessment done, I cannot say how much longer I would have been on this shared rock of ours. Being diagnosed and learning why my brain works the way it does was possibly the biggest mental relief of my life. Life’s still a struggle, but now I understand why.

Transgenderism wasn’t something discussed by most right-wing voters until 2015 when Donald Trump made it an issue to divide and conquer the populace so he and his billionaire oligarch buddies could run off to the bank at the expense of everyone else. People are rubes.

Or, maybe try showing empathy for others and realize others don’t think the way you do and should not be forced to do so.

While the article is funny, it does highlight an issue of being autistic in the workplace. The training material for ASD used by my own employer was last updated nearly 15 years ago, and the material within it does not provide a good representation of autism at all.

Initially, I thought this could be detrimental to Tesla, but what it could potentially do is create an anticompetitive market monopoly on electric vehicle manufacturing in the U.S. This is part of what Elon’s $200 million investment was for.
