Yeah they most definitely nerfed the skill ceiling in OutRun 2 SP/2006 Coast 2 Coast. Going back to the original OutRun 2 on Xbox the driving there is way tighter and more difficult to handle, you also crash on other cars more easily. They made the game's driving too forgiving in SP/C2C.
