I would be less down on Bomb Rush if so many people (who didn't engage much with the older games) around launch wasn't shitting on the older games calling them outdated trash and then the end result is a game with no sense of applying friction towards the player

I hope Team Reptile's sequel has a stronger identity for itself cause I really don't wanna play another indie game who's only inspiration is from an older game they liked only and then I rather play its inspirations than the new game

My thoughts on the game has mostly unfortunately soured after launch and I can't help but agree with alot of its critics cause genuinely its lacking something that made JSR/F actually unique,transgressive, and be mechanically interesting.

Its really funny when you look at steam reviews for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk and every postive review is usually a non critical writing of the game,memes, and "TAKE NOTES SEGA" and then every negative review is from actual fans of JSR that calls the game shallow,lacks identity and nuanced gameplay
