The reddit mobile app UI is constantly changing. Like, several times a day. They seem to be experimenting between two layouts, one that has notifications and chats combined under a single button, the other that splits them into two buttons. It's driving me crazy.

I am definitely not the only person who has noticed this infuriating trend. I relate to what the author says here about how this type of construction's association with AI has poisoned it even though it obviously predates ChatGPT. The other day I noticed myself using it and had to do a rewrite.
