I had a blast at the Columbus Book Festival this past weekend. I sold a good amount of books, gained a lot of new readers, and had people come to see me specifically, which is awesome! A rainstorm even came through Saturday and we had to close up the tent with customers in it.

Found this baby bird at the dog park. The branches of the tree were out of reach, so I picked him up (he fell asleep in my hand), then put him in a safer spot where all the dogs wouldn't try to play with him. Then made him a little nest with leaves and twigs.

Went to go meet the original owner of our spooky house. He's only a couple blocks down the street.

Spooky house update: We now have a grotesque for our front porch. It's about 500lbs, but it's up there now!

The StokerCon hotel had this weird room (probably weren't supposed to be in there) that contained possible non-Euclidean geometry and a stage whose lights had been on all week and held an open tome in Hebrew. The room led to liminal back hallways and a rusted portal in one wall.

StokerCon 2025 was great! Love going every year.

Willow is one year old today!

One of the local antique stores, Kat's Cauldron, is run by this awesome goth woman. Not only is she friendly and welcoming, but she gifted me this creepy, possibly haunted, clown painting!

I told Fable to stop barking out the window and she proceeded to stare at me for an uncomfortable amount of time.

Fable graduated from her training program! And yes, she's wearing a little graduation cap.

Went to visit Altadena, CA. Devasted by the recent fires. 90% of the city is like this. First picture is the house I grew up in. Incredibly sad.
