Today’s #RandomGameSaturday comes thanks to @barleybap.bsky.social’s influence. It arrived just yesterday, actually. The Ooze (MD) is a quite original game where you play as a puddle of goo and seek revenge. Also I love some personality in my game carts. This has a name softly carved in it.

Today’s #RandomGameSaturday is a copy of what’s probably the best beat ‘em up for the good old Game Boy, Double Dragon 2. It’s a reskin of a game called Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-Kun: Bangai Rantouhen, so it plays a little differently than what’s to be expected from a Double Dragon game.

A well loved copy of Thunder Force 3 for the Sega Mega Drive is today’s #RandomGameSaturday. You know what? I’d rather buy games like these than mint copies. Gotta love a cartridge with history.

My copy of NBA Jam TE for the Mega Drive 32x is today’s #RandomGameSaturday. I think this game has not aged a day and is still immensely fun. The 32x version might be the best of all of them.

For this Show a Game Saturday, my boxed copy of Doom for the Game Boy Advance. Sure, it’s based on the Jaguar version so no Cyberdemon or Spider Mastermind, but it runs pretty well.

I just want for good things to happen in the world.

Funny story: I used to play the PC port for this with a Roxette compilation on the CD drive, and the game played each song as if it was the stage theme. Genjuro’s “Sleeping In My Car” and Sieger’s “Vulnerable” always cracked me up.

For this Saturday I’ve dusted off my copy of Azure Dreams. I kind of hyper focused on the PS1 version back in 1998 but never game the GB Color a chance, because I think the dating and building elements made the PS version special and they’re missing here.

Today’s Show a Game Saturday, so here’s mine: the extremely fun port of Montezuma’s Revenge for the Sega Master System. It’s an American exclusive game, so I had to import it in an “untested condition, no guarantees”, but it ended up working perfectly. It’s kind of rare too.

It's hard to know what to say or whether it's even worth adding to the doom - what I will say is buy your trans friends' weird zine, their album, their art game - buy them a beer or a soda or a meal - give them some ko-fi money for doing absolutely nothing. We gotta protect trans kids and adults.
