One thing that does not get talked about often enough is intelligence/token. For example, Qwen3.5 9B has a much higher artificial analysis score than Granite 4.1 8B. But if you compare the output tokens required to run the eval, it tells a different story.

iOS autocomplete feels outdated in 2026. You should be able to scribble whole paragraphs on the keyboard and it should auto-fix typos based on context. Word by word discards a lot of useful information

This attempted refutation is incorrect. 1. They also looked at couples rather than households and found it was still true 2. It is also true for market incomes by age 30 (the early 20’s lag is easily explained by more education time) 3. The square root adjustment is standard statistical practice.

This is why it’s hard not to roll my eyes when people complain about “vibe coding.” So much code out there is already insane! LLMs are great for refractors which would otherwise be prohibitively cumbersome.

It would be good if we had some standardized aggregate intelligence rating similar to Artificial Analysis but lighter to guide the selection of appropriate quant level/method. It’s currently a time consuming black art. Seems like it could be reasonably integrated into huggingface.

Thank you for bravely speaking up. I felt this was coming after multiple women said they got “blackout drunk” while meeting Swalwell. His abuse of public trust is no less than Nassar’s. Prosecute and send him to prison.

1. I've written a few times about Mamdani and what he can do for trans people to uphold his promises. But there are disingenuous people who apparently do not read articles, so I figured I would lay out his power and what other trans journos want him to do here directly and what is in his power.

Decommissioning minesweepers immediately before starting a war with Iran also (charitably) does not seem like a good strategy. "Unlike the minesweepers, which have a long history of being battle-tested, the LCS with the MCM package has never been deployed in combat."

People are complaining about Spanberger not using "stronger" language - I think this quote from her response to the 2020 election reveals her ethos. She understands the power in how an issue is framed. Just because she refuses to embrace leftist language does not mean her values are not progressive.

One thing that doesn't get talked about enough is that Dems will get their views throttled as soon as the election heats up again. It already happened during 2024 and will happen again in the lead up to November. There is no amount of posting that can circumvent an algorithmic feed.
