I read this book a couple of months ago and it really was incredible. It dives into the history of the ocean starting with the creation of the universe itself, and had beautiful, engaging prose despite being a very informationally dense book. A sometimes emotionally heavy read, but very good. 📚💙

The one good thing about snow suddenly showing back up is I've had a ton of bird activity today from birds I don't typically see. I think this is a savannah sparrow, and he looks incredibly round from puffing up to stay warm ❤️ #birds

I haven't had one in a while but I got one today from someone calling themselves Aretha Franklin, which was honestly pretty funny

I painted this illustration based off my 2 year old a couple weeks ago. The snow is melting now but at the time he had a favourite snowball he kept by the door to hold when we went to and back from my 5 year old's school. It was very sweet #kidlitart

I find this completely believable. I’m on the top end of gen-Z but I find people in my age group and younger spot AI imagery instantly and it’s often taken as an indicator of corporate insincerity. Meanwhile a lot of older people I know can’t tell the difference and workplace management pushes it.

The final Calvin and Hobbes, which appeared in papers 30 years ago today.

I only occasionally read romance, but this has maybe been one of my favourite reads. It's an incredibly sweet queer romance about a missed connection via text while the 2 women are in different times (5 months apart) and trying to prevent the one in the past from disappearing in the present. 💙📚

The other day we drove past a large cemetery in my city and my 5 year old asked me if it was the haunted forest 😂

I found this fabric at value village for like 10 bucks, and also found an unused sewing pattern from the 80's for a button-up shirt and wrap shorts set there as well. This is the result of sewing it up! I find thrifting fabric really fun, it feels like treasure hunting. #sewing #sewingksy

Finished this book a week ago but it's still on my mind. Definitely a heavy but beautiful read. A book about a woman who can time travel into her past and an all woman cult that forms around her, and about her son, his daughter, and intergenerational trauma. It's honestly a bit surreal. 💙📚 #booksky
