Yesterday was my birthday. Which also means it’s been 20 years since my Celiac diagnosis. It’s also Celiac Awareness Month & there’s been some negative comments about it this month. Listen, if I could eat the gluten, I would. But no one wants to be around me if I eat gluten. Not even Beau.

I love when shows feature areas impacted by disasters and share in the community recovery. Top Chef did that this week in Asheville; an area physically devastated by Hurricane Helene but the spirit is still so so strong. #topchef #community Could’ve done without the danger noodle though.

I’m on day 5 of reading @ibramxk.bsky.social Chain of Ideas. Really deep diving into it for some of my research. Taking so many notes. It’s such an important and well-researched book. I even found my undergrad thesis advisor cited in it!

For someone who really hated numbers and wasn’t good with them at all, I loved this book as a kid.

Watching Air Disasters and the narration starts to sound familiar. Look up and realize not only is it a plane crash that I remember happening because it was off the coast of home but my dissertation advisor told me how he was the navy chaplain for the families during this time.

Me thinking the Flyers really really need to start sucking again. Seeing they’re playing Carolina next - oh we’re good.

I’m reading a 4-book series. Super easy quick reads. Just got to the last book - 9 pages in - and the author has changed the name of a character. Not even like to a nickname, but to a completely unrelated different name. If it wasn’t the last book, I would’ve tossed the whole series aside. WTF

If someone figured out a gluten free pizza crust that looked and tasted like this, I would consider marrying them. Because this is amazing.
