In May, I visited the Estonian-Russian border at Narva. Today, I was able to compare with the Norwegian-Russian border in the Arctic. The similarities are striking: Number of crossings are way down. And we are better prepared to take measures, including closing. Borders matter!

Today, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre announced a new significant increase in Norwegian support for Ukraine. All parties in Parliament agree on an additional 50 billion kroner in aid for 2025. This brings our total support for this year to 85 billion kroner, approximately 7,5 billion euros.

Denmark acquires Norwegian Naval Strike Missiles (NSM) worth 2 billion NOK through a rapid procurement process 🇩🇰 🇳🇴 🤝 ‘This is very positive news. Advanced Norwegian missiles on Danish frigates will strengthen Nordic naval defence’, said 🇳🇴 DefMin Tore O. Sandvik.
