I'm going to take the scientific approach and re-evaluate AI code using the same set of tests I've used for several years now. I have yet to see a single AI code generator pass creating a script to plot an involute gear based on the usual parameters (modulus, pitch angle, etc.). I will report back.

Op Inquiry: Let's say there's a video being done to prove a thing can be built that was faked, but the faked thing was a very specific model of the thing. If the video being done was a different but similar model--working exactly the same way--would it still count as having made the thing for real?

Programming languages are our best attempt to make computer instructions easier to issue, but they're only useful to people who understand what the computer *should* do. The code itself isn't the hard part. AI can't make non-devs into devs in the same way Google Translate can't make me French.

To be fair, for most meetings I've attended, the value and effectiveness probably wouldn't change much anyway. If there's one thing hype could use more of, it's marketing, of course.

I look around and I see brilliance in abundance. Makers that have 10-100x my knowledge and skill. It humbles me when these folks show interest in my frankly novice level projects. This is something I have noticed through the community surrounding my channel as well. I am lucky for such cool folks.
