Currently freaking out because my manager, rather than talking to me, decided to go with the nuclear option. I suspect there will be a meeting with HR in my near future. I'm too stressed/sick to sleep and have a sneaking suspicion that tomorrow is going to be worse.

I've told Finance that he needs to be explicit when asking me for things, because I'm stupid and autistic and do not get hints. So what has he been doing? Hinting that he wants things, and then getting upset when I don't give him those things.

I will be at World's this year! Are any mutuals coming? I booked one of the nearby hotels and I'm currently looking for roommates. (Finance will be coming to LA but not staying at the hotel with me. He's staying with friends instead.)

My hair is getting long enough that it's getting unwieldy. I would like to cut it short, but I keep having second thoughts because of what Finance said. He insists that he doesn't want me to cut it "short enough that it looks like a man's" (whatever that means).

I am at the end of my rope. Work is terrible and I'm worried about not having a job in a few months. My home life is terrible because Finance keeps insisting on talking about things that are stressing me out, and when I inevitably have a meltdown he says it's my fault for needing "emotional support"

Finance and I had an argument today about (among other things) the fact that I couldn't remember the specifics of one of our house rules. "You're really too stupid to remember this one simple rule?" he kept repeating. Yeah dude, I am! I already told you this!

TCG pulls from the new Japanese set. I didn't expect to get a full art Eeveelution in each box, but getting a *different* full art instead of 2 of the same would have been nice. Anyone want a flame ogrepon?

Our leaky skylights have finally been replaced! Aside from no longer needing to worry about water getting in when it rains (hurray!) the new panes are also much clearer than the old ones. I can see the beautiful trees outside again! ;__;

I know this is petty, but Finance asked if I wanted him to pick up anything at Sam's/Walmart, so I asked if he could check for TCG at Walmart, and he was like "I'm just going to Sam's, I think". Sir, then why did you offer Walmart?!

This is very petty, but it annoys me when people stream openings for TCG boxes. I'm not sure how to explain it, but the way they talk and even the way they open the packs (gotta line up the cards perfectly and pause for dramatic effect) feels performative. Like trying to profit off a hobby.

I've had a really bad week, so I am drowning my sorrows in trading cards (Pokemon and One Piece). I was planning to buy some packs anyway, but ended up splurging on a full box because I wanted a little treat. Farewell, remaining hobby budget!

I've been doing PVP event matches in TCG Pocket with my budget Pikachu deck, and I'm surprised at how well it's doing. I'm at about 75-80% wins right now. I even had a few people with fully blinged out ex'es (ie, people who clearly paid real money) concede to me.

Probably TMI, but these are the days I've been "on my period" in the last two months. I am starting to lose my damn mind! Finance made a comment about how I've been in a bad mood lately, and I kind of want to print this out and throw it at his face.

Currently trying to figure out how to explain to my boss that I won't be in the office today because I injured my knee while trying not to choke on a cookie. Some days I feel Too Dumb To Live.

I had lunch with my parents recently, and my dad told me family stories I'd never heard before. Apparently my grandparents were extorted by one of their nieces, who then THREATENED TO KILL THEM if they pursued legal action. My dad found the letter when sorting through his parents' estate. WTAF?!?

One of my pet peeves is when people get irrationally mad at you for speaking the truth. I mentioned that one of my coworkers was more valuable to the company than I was (in the "if you're going to put one of us in stressful meetings, make it me, not her" sense) and you'd think I KILLED someone.

I had a talk with my manager's manager today and words cannot describe how badly it went. She WENT OFF on me about things that were not my fault, then told me to take care of my mental health when I was trying not to cry because I was actively having a meltdown.

I try to mask my autism at work, at least in the "I will phrase things tactfully so I don't come across as a blunt asshole" way, but I am thiiiis close to unmasking and giving my new manager a piece of my mind.

Me: our biggest risk to not meeting the schedule is that we keep getting pulled into "urgent" meetings and therefore don't have time to do our work! My new manager: I agree. Skip as many meetings as possible. Focus on completing the job.

I know I shouldn't complain about my job because I make a very nice salary... but ever since we got a new manager, things have been bad. Part of me is like "STFU self, you make a lot of money" and the other part of me is like "no amount of money is worth wanting to shoot myself every night".
