Since I’ve gotten a lot of new followers in the past couple days, I wanted to share this story again. A month ago, 40 US Congress reps signed a letter to @govwesmoore.bsky.social warning him ICE may have “frictionless, self-service access” to MD driver’s license data, no warrant required.

Senator Wyden of Oregon and others allege that Maryland state systems currently allow Immigration Customs & Enforcement (ICE) to access sensitive personal data without a warrant. Read the story here.

Wanted to boost this tool since we've been hearing more about ICE in #Baltimore and #Maryland at large - it's a map of crowdsourced ICE sightings. Each one goes through moderation (max of 15 min.), so there's less chance of a false positives, but it's also timely. Stay safe y'all. iceout.org/en/
