The Joint Nature Conservation Committee does such important work advising the UK and devolved governments on nature conservation. I'm delighted to have been appointed to the board.

We are looking for a research ecologist to join the Board of @britishecologicalsociety.org. This influential role will help to set the strategic direction and priorities of the Society. Deadline 30 June with the role to start in December.

After a stark run down of how serious the climate situation is, he laid out his thesis: that solutions requires politicians to tell the electorate the truth. What new distopian horror is this? Social media is a terrible time sink but it's value is you are interacting with real people. Imagine a future where we are all just engaging with bots.
