Played some Kirby Air Riders with my mom tonight and showed her the ropes with some free-roam City Trial to get a grip with the controls and then a couple of races on slow mode. She’s enjoying it pretty well, the simple controls work well for her since she doesn’t do well with game controllers

Went to a cute vegan cafe near my house today with my mom and ordered the coffee flight (I got iced, my mom got hot). Lots of flavors, all tasty and delicious. The cafe has a cute thing where everything is fall themed—all year long.

This year’s thanksgiving is gonna much smaller than previous years and I’m really grateful for it. It’s just me and my mom at home on the actual holiday so we’re gonna cook things we like but my dad doesn’t, and then we do a bonus thanksgiving the day after when my dad gets back home from 24hr shift

While I prefer the taste and chew of ham over turkey, it wrecks my guts lately and turkey doesn’t, so ham has to go sadly

I’m in Green class in Kirby Air Riders now in the racing mode and this is the first class rank where I can actually start ranking down if I do bad enough in a race, yikes

The new Star Slide mechanic in Kirby Air Riders really makes races incredibly frantic at times but above all it really improves the racing experience on Nebula Belt which was a massive bore in the original game. If someone got ahead, they just stayed ahead and would win. Now, you can really catch up

Made a Samus themed Transform Star skin in Kirby Air Riders, this came out as good as I could get it on this vehicle but I think it works pretty well, has the style and matches the inspiration well enough

I find it really funny how there's a setting in Kirby Air Riders that makes it like how most other racing games play by reversing how the boost button works, by instead having the player hold the button to move and release the button to start braking/boosting. Interesting idea but also like, lmao
