🚨 The Trump Administration has cancelled another $450 million in clean energy funding for New York, in a direct attack on workers, our economy, and our climate goals.

The Hudson River is facing its worst outbreak of cyanobacteria in the last 40 years due to warming temperatures caused by climate change. These algal blooms are toxic, making it unsafe to swim in these waters. We count on Albany to invest in keeping our rivers clean to keep us safe.

On Saturday in a public roundtable Sen. Harckham and Sen. Krueger urged New York to recommit to our climate goals as laid out in our climate law, the CLCPA. At a time of federal rollbacks, Albany has even more of a responsibility to step up and lead on green.

The Trump administration’s continued assault on renewable energy to protect fossil fuels won’t just hurt us down the road — it’s already killing jobs, making us sicker, and putting a whole list of New York State economic, health, and quality of life initiatives at risk.
