this design is kino btw. a multi car pile up with guardrail arms and an unconcious head is fucking radical for the Accident Devil. great way to show a sick design for a devil that didnt need much of a character

i genuinely feel little stupid for not clicking that Yoshida is literally told Fallings name by Death then a couple chapters later Fakesaw Man saves Denji and tells Denji not only her name but her plan. Wow. I wonder who Fakesaw Man is.

Ok yeah it is really weird that Denji was blown out the window/into the next room by the force of the explosion and sustained heavy damage to his skin and clothes but Yoshida has no visible explosion damage anywhere on him and seems to have fallen exactly where he was standing

I made this mistake of believing an art error was actually an intentional detail (Nayuta’s missing mole) but… I’ve had doubts about the objective reality of this setting since Denji woke up in it instantaneously and Yoshida seemingly phasing out of the chair isn’t helping that

He couldn’t say that he had a good life, because it never belonged to him. It was always owned by the abusive people in power above him. He could only say that he was assigned to a good role. Reaaallllly close to crying at work right now.

#csm213 i do understand the point of not showing their time spent together, now. it's more heartbreaking in retrospect. it was an empty space, hued by their shapes, kept close to their chests. we didn't know how close they were, but we could feel it. now we do, and there'll be nothing to reminisce

i've predicted so many times that Death will use Nayuta as a bargaining chip for Denji but I think THIS TIME FOR SURE she has to. Fumiko 100% has Denji on her side, the offer of a life with AsaYoru? he cares more about that than WWII. if Death wants him, shes gonna need something equal to AsaYoru...

fumiko yappings & food; a 🧵 fumiko “the sushi woman”, of course, is about that public safety was observing at death by sushi; it is also an accumulation of what denji has lost, that what was served to him: family, sex, good grub.

The middle panel is almost heartwarming in its own way. How wonderful it must be to hear someone you admire affirm something you constantly question. Maybe hearing him say it out loud gave her the courage to say it herself. Fumiko is the kind of twisted person to find comfort in such small things

i really need to remember to share my thoughts here too but new chapter was insane, completely recontextualised fumikos character and explained alot of things i was confused about (her cloning, her calling denji and yoshida senpai despite her being older)
