An end to Israel’s merciless killing is of course something to celebrate. But make no mistake: this is all part of Trump and Netanyahu’s plan. With the world busy celebrating, they’re busy selling Palestine to the highest bidder.

Yes. Yes. Yes. One of the many reasons I love @medact.bsky.social is because they have the courage to speak the truth. So whilst the majority of NGOs applaud Trump’s deal, it’s heartening to see this statement call it what it is: a colonial project that robs Palestine of autonomy.

The death rate among Palestinian children aged 9-14 grew NINEFOLD following October 2023. The actual rate will be EVEN higher. Yet genocide backers still argue that ‘Israel doesn’t target children’.

This is how you do it. In recent days, the BBC etc have been trying to depict Israel’s genocide as an ‘unfortunate episode’ involving two equally culpable sides. Shame on them, and credit to @scotnational.bsky.social for speaking the truth.

This is why we should all be angry about the use of asylum hotels. Private firms raking in millions while people forced to live in these hotels endure appalling conditions. People seeking safety and UK taxpayers are losing out and the only winners are millionaire companies.

Starmer tells people protesting a genocide to ‘respect grief’. Not only does he weaponise - literally - the perpetrators of said genocide, he’s weaponising a tragedy to suppress protest. Dark.

Worrying comments from Refugee Council on ‘one-in, one-out’. This policy is a regressive step, not a welcome one. Precisely because it is selective in who it provides welcome to. RC’s time would be better spent calling this out, not celebrating the arrival of those deemed ‘deserving’.

Since the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation started operating, at least 2,256 people have been killed whilst collecting food aid. Yet they talk about transferring aid in a "peaceful and non-violent manner".

Symbolic gestures won’t wash away the blood spilt by the arms you continue to sell.

This attack is no different to those made by May, Rudd, Braverman, Cleverly et al. How long until the Shabana Mahood and Keir Starmer (both lawyers) start attacking other lawyers and judges for doing their jobs and upholding the rule of law?

Nothing to see here. Just the Labour Home Secretary accusing people of 'deciding' they are victims of modern slavery to avoid deportation. Some people facing removal were literally trafficked, sexually abused and tortured.

Yet rather than cutting all ties and seeking to isolate this genocidal entity, Starmer welcomes Herzog to no.10. And when criticised, he doubled down, stating he practises ‘diplomacy’ rather than ‘student politics’. Diplomacy with people who shoot toddlers in the head.

Solidarity to all those stopping these flights taking off. Serves Starmer right for concocting this horrendous plan. But what are the Tories crowing about, exactly? It’s not like their Rwanda flights left the runway. Moral of the story: Human rights ✅ Deportation flights ❌

AND are denied access to public funds! So for all the rhetoric about being a financial drain, people who are migrants: ▪️ Pay the eye-watering Surcharge each year ▪️ Pay extortionate visa fees ▪️ Are locked out of a safety net ▪️ And on top of that, pay normal taxes Some ‘burden’, eh?
