This attack is no different to those made by May, Rudd, Braverman, Cleverly et al. How long until the Shabana Mahood and Keir Starmer (both lawyers) start attacking other lawyers and judges for doing their jobs and upholding the rule of law?

Nothing to see here. Just the Labour Home Secretary accusing people of 'deciding' they are victims of modern slavery to avoid deportation. Some people facing removal were literally trafficked, sexually abused and tortured.

Yet rather than cutting all ties and seeking to isolate this genocidal entity, Starmer welcomes Herzog to no.10. And when criticised, he doubled down, stating he practises ‘diplomacy’ rather than ‘student politics’. Diplomacy with people who shoot toddlers in the head.

Solidarity to all those stopping these flights taking off. Serves Starmer right for concocting this horrendous plan. But what are the Tories crowing about, exactly? It’s not like their Rwanda flights left the runway. Moral of the story: Human rights ✅ Deportation flights ❌

And the anti immigration crowd try to claim that immigrants cost this and that. One must also remember that immigrants also pay silly amounts per application (spouse visa £1035 per application, regardless of approval). All of this is one top of normal tax, NI, VAT, etc that everyone pays.

You open fire on children receiving food at aid points. You’ve conducted at least 1,500 attacks on healthcare since October 2023. And then you turn around and say you don’t “intentionally target civilians”. The IDF. Masters of war crimes. Masters of doublethink.

We were in Calais all week doing research with people on the move here for Refugee Action. Today we saw the fear and anxiety caused by the announcement that people have been detained on arrival. It won’t stop people seeking safety from crossing the channel, it just compounds their trauma.

Our Prime Minister should be ashamed of this vile video. The human beings having cameras shoved in their faces while being detained deserve dignity and a fair hearing for any asylum claim. Instead, the cruelty they're being treated with is being used for social media clout.

I’d like someone to count how many joint letters are issued by the sector I work in every year. I seem to see at least one such letter circulating almost every day.

And look at the last paragraph: “If accepted, they would be given three months in the UK to claim asylum” The article even acknowledges that people accepted from France need to be on UK soil to submit a claim. So why are different labels used?

The BBC dancing to the Gov's tune by referring to people who cross by small boat as 'migrants' and people who don't as 'asylum seekers'. There is literally no difference between the two. Why? Because asylum can only be claimed once in the UK.
