The funeral of Martin Parr was a very moving occasion yesterday. The tributes and memories reflected the emotions of those gathered, sadness that he had left us too soon, but heartfelt thaks for his life, work and friendship.

Sad news to begin the day. Martin Parr has died. He was a true original. Early in his career, he showed us a new way of seeing everyday life. Later he became a significant historian of photography. He'll be missed.
